Website was established in 2007 with the intent to provide engineering-related articles that discuss often overlooked engineering concepts and analysis techniques that are infrequently applied in todays industry. Conjointly, the site offers thousands of technical papers available for free to assist in research and development endeavors. overarching goal is to promulgate engineering best practices and software solutions to the global engineering community.


The future of is bright with the formation of a software development team currently in the works. ABD Matrix sofwtare will offer affordable engineering solutions that provide engineers with user-friendly tools that quickly and accurately evaluate complex problems. Moreover, these tools provide software customization protocols that sync with existing numerical capabilities by providing lateral integration capabilities often needed needed by engineers required to comply with company-centric requisites. 


SelfNorm Lamar is the proprietor, chief editor and developer of His Industry experience spans across a variety of engineering companies namely: Northrop Grumman, where he worked with the RQ-4B Unmanned Global Hawk design team and the advanced development group to support DARPA projects. For United Technologies, he worked as a stress engineer on several commercial programs: Boeing 787; Mitsubishi Regional Jet (MRJ); Bombardier's C-Series and the Airbus A350 XWB program. Norm also worked for Solar Turbines (a subsidiary of the Caterpillar Company) designing fuel injector components that improved Turbine performance. Norm has pedagogical expereince as well, he was a guest lecturer at San Diego State University, teaching a graduate design and analysis course. He currently works at General Atomics Aeronautical as a senior stress analyst providing structural analyses support for the Certified Predator B program and, he leads an group-level effort to develop stress methodologies and all associated software to support methods application. Norm Lamar holds an MSc. in Mechanical Engineering and has extensive experience engineering systems leveraging both composite and metallic materials.
