Norm Lamar is the proprietor, chief editor and developer of abdmatrix.com. Industry experience encompasses a variety of fields. At Northrop Grumman, he worked in the RQ-4B Unmanned Global Hawk design team and the advanced development group supporting several DARPA programs. At United Technologies, he worked on several commercial programs, namely: Boeing 787; Mitsubishi Regional Jet (MRJ); Bombardier's C-Series and the Airbus A350 XWB programs. Norm worked for Solar Turbines (a Caterpillar Company) developing fuel injector technologies to enhance Turbine Power Generation performance. Norm was a guest lecturer at San Diego State University, teaching a graduate-level design and analysis course. Norm currently works at General Atomics Aeronautical as a senior analyst providing structural analyses support for the Certified Predator B program; additionally, he leads an enterprise-level effort to develop both stress methodologies and the associated software to support methods application. Norm Lamar holds an MSc. in Mechanical Engineering and has extensive experience engineering systems leveraging both composite and metallic materials.
